Why T.U.R.F. Inc
The Urban Regenerative Farm Inc. (T.U.R.F.) exists to acquire, develop, and redistribute community-focused, community-managed urban garden spaces where nutritious foods are produced in an ecologically responsible manner for and by the members of the immediate community, and more importantly, where the community learns to sustain itself both nutritionally and financially by developing the skills necessary to grow food for themselves, their families, and their neighbors; And to turn their high-yielding foodscape into a productive gardening business that benefits the community monetarily and in increase of community property values. In doing so, we will address nutritional and economic inequality which is a root cause of educational, employment, financial, substance abuse, and incarceration disparities in our city.
